About Handan
I have played cello since i was 8 years old.

In 2015 I got accepted from Turkey International Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and performed in Turkey and in many other international countries and cities, including Berlin, Hamburg, Budapest, Prag and so on..

Education
After graduated from high school in Turkey, I was accepted to Toke Møldrup’s class at the the Royal Danish Academy of Music from which i graduated with a Bachelors degree in 2020.

During my Danish studies i had chance to play in many concerts with the RDAM Symphony Orchestra, as well as solo and chamber music concerts in the Academy and churches around Copenhagen.

After getting accepted to study my Masters degree In The Royal Academy of Music in London, UK, i began studying with Professor Jo Cole, and after a little while I become as principal cellist in the London University Symphony Orchestra.

I am currently completing Master of Music at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

Teaching
I am a professional, passionate young Cellist and cello teacher who had 4-5 years experience in different countries with teaching- I am educated pedagogically as well.

I give cello lessons for beginners, intermediate or advanced students, all levels and ages (children to adults), to enjoy music on their own with professional help and/or lesson sections focused on entrance exams for music schools, academies.

We will work on being expressive and how to make the cello sing, as well as techniques.

First lesson
Depending on student’s level, I’ll decide where we should start to work on.

If the student is a complete beginner we will start with the posture exercises, we will learn the cello from very bottom.

If student has already played cello like in intermediate level, or higher, we will figure out together what we need to work on to develop the student’s technique, playing and start to work for it with the right exercises.
