About the teacher
My name is Aleksandra and I am a passionate cellist and teacher. I play solo, in various ensembles as well as in the orchestra.
I come from Poland, where I finished 15 years of music education, including a Bachelor degree combined with a pedagogical module. Currently I am finishing my Masters in cello pedagogy at DJM in Aarhus. With understanding of basic psychology, knowledge about children’s development, and strong technique I can provide students various perspectives and adapt my approach accordingly to their age and needs.
Deeply curious about the Danish approach to music education, I have completed a main instrument pedagogy course, where I got to know the Suzuki method and general principles of Danish education.
I am a very positive and energetic person who loves to build connections and develop relationships with others and it can all be seen during my lessons.
About the lessons
Thanks to my background, I can present a method that combines exact instructions and focus on building a strong foundation for playing with freedom of expression and musical choices of the student. On top of it come the elements of the Suzuki method, which is based on natural learning style (repetition and immersion), that are the same as how the acquisition of the mother tongue works.
Even though I am a classically trained musician, I enjoy working with other styles of music, including film music and pop arrangements. I can therefore better understand student’s needs and adapt the material accordingly.
