Your level doesn’t matter it’s about motivation and passion as Armando enjoys teaching beginners as well as advanced players.
How do we get started?
To begin, Armando assesses each student’s current level through a brief evaluation and discussion of your musical interests and goals. Based on this initial assessment, he crafts a customized lesson plan that evolves with your progress. This personalized approach ensures that each lesson is both challenging and rewarding, keeping you motivated and engaged in your musical journey.
My experience with teaching
Armando is passionate about teaching and finds joy in helping students uncover their hidden musical talents. He believes that gaining musical knowledge is a powerful tool for enhancing everyday life.
With extensive experience teaching guitar at all levels, as well as modern harmony, improvisation techniques, and beginner piano/bass guitar , Armando’s diverse skill set enables him to demonstrate a wide range of musical interests and abilities. He also teaches trombone and brass, focusing on instrument technique, modern repertoire, jazz style and language.
Professional background
Armando has gained international experience in the USA (New York, New Orleans), the Dutch Caribbean (tumba festival 2020/2021), and Europe after completing his master studies at Rotterdam Conservatoire. He currently leads the collective Bajonet Brass Band and the Kolding Community Brass.
Armando has toured Europe with several bands across genres such as jazz, funk, soul, and afrobeat, and has had the opportunity to play and tour with masters like M. Abene, Darcy J. Argue, Cory Wong and Herlin Riley. Additionally, he has experience arranging for horn sections and big bands.
