About Gintare
Gintare is a graduate of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (2023) and now she is studying at The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus. During her studies in Lithuania she already played in many Big Bands. Gintare’s main focus is on jazz, improvisation and composition. She composes her own music, and regularly plays in Lithuania and Denmark with her own band. Over time, Gintare has come to the understanding that sharing knowledge with others is a most valuable thing, and she is dedicated and enthusiastic about sharing her musical knowledge with her students.
About the lessons
The beginner’s lessons will be about controlling the tone, playing simple melodies and all the basics of playing the saxophone. In relation to the more experienced students she can help with the rhythm, phrasing and theory. Gintare also has extensive experience in guiding a student deeper into a creative process around composition.
The first lesson
In the first lesson with Gintare, she will take time to get to know you. The student will get the opportunity to speak about motivation, and what inspires to play or create music. Gintare will adapt her teaching style to the needs of the student in the moment.
