Om Sarah
Sarah er trompetist med speciale i klassisk musik. Efter sin bacheloruddannelse i London flyttede Sarah til Aarhus for at tage en kandidatuddannelse i trompet under Kristian Steenstrup på Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium. Hun elskede den udvikling, hun oplevede i Danmark, og har derfor fortsat sin musikalske rejse på DJMs ‘solistlinje’ og begyndte at få undervisning af Martin Schuster. Sarah arbejder nu som freelance-musiker og har i de seneste år spillede koncerter med Aarhus’ og Aalborgs Symfoniorkester, såvel som Prinsens- og Slesvigske Musikkorps og Randers Kammerorkester. Hun er aktiv medlem af Aarhus Solist Ensemble og spiller jævnligt kammermusik og solokoncerter i hele landet.
Undervisning
Sarah begyndte at undervise i trompet og klaver allerede som studerende i London og har erfaring med alle aldre. Hendes konstante udvikling som musiker har fortsat en stærk indflydelse på hendes undervisning, og hun nyder at dele nye idéer og redskaber med sine elever. Sarahs modersmål er engelsk, men hun kan også undervise på dansk.
About Sarah
Sarah is a trumpeter specialising in classical music. After completing her bachelor degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, Sarah moved to Aarhus to study for her masters degree with Kristian Steenstrup at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium. After this, she continued her studies on the soloist programme, extending her time in Denmark and developing into an expressive chamber and orchestral musician.
She is now pursuing a career on the European music scene, and in recent years has enjoyed performing with Aarhus and Aalborg Symphony Orchestras as well as Slesvigske and Prinsens Musikkorps and Randers Chamber Orchestra. She is an active member of Aarhus Solist Ensemble and performs regular solo and chamber concerts across Denmark.
Teaching
Sarah began teaching trumpet and piano during her early years as a student in London, with experience across the age range from as young as 5. Her constant development and discovery as a musician continues to be a strong influence for her teaching, and she enjoys sharing helpful new ideas and tools with her students. Sarah’s first language is English, but she is also able to teach in Danish.
